NMA President Makes Historic Visit To Pharmacy House, Make Joint Press Conference

NIGERIAN MEDICAL ASSOCIATION (NMA) PRESIDENT PAID A WORKING VISIT TO PHARMACY HOUSE, WEDNESDAY, JUNE 7, 2017.

The President of Nigerian Medical Association (NMA), Professor Mike O. Ogirima led a 7 man delegates of both National and Lagos State executive members of the association to pay a working visit to the President of the Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria at Pharmacy House, 32 Faramobi Ajike Street, Anthony Village, Lagos on June 7, 2017.

The President of Nigerian Medical Association in his powerful speech appreciated the sincere effort of Pharm. Ahmed Ibrahim Yakasai as an ambassador of peace and progress. He said, this visit is a return visit to the early visit paid to the headquarters of NMA by the President of the Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria and his team. He opined, the new partnership between both bodies is in the interest of the patient in particular and the nation in general. He concluded, that he will continue to champion the atmosphere of peace in the health sector and work hand in hand with other health professional bodies and health practitioners in the interest of the good people of Nigeria.

In his remarkable response, The President of Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria, Pharmacist Ahmed Yakasai said, “Today is one of the most happiest day for me in recent times because of this brotherhood visit by the NMA President and his delegates.” He appreciated the team for paying a visit to the headquarters of the Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria in the spirit of peace and harmony. He remarked, with mutual respect, trust, collaboration and teamwork we can build a formidable healthcare sector we can all be proud of. He reiterated his commitment to the harmonious and peaceful relationship in the health sector and the Federal Ministry of Health to move the sector to new heights.

Some members of National Executive Council of PSN and Inter-professional Committee of PSN ably led by Pharm. (Sir) Ifeanyi Atueyi graced the occasion.
