Pharmacist Council of Nigeria inducts 37 foreign trained pharmacists

The pharmacist council of Nigeria on Monday 19th June 2017 inducted  37 foreign trained pharmacists into the noble profession. The induction ceremony took place at the council auditorium. The ceremony was opened with an opening prayer after which the head of department education and training Dr Anthony Idoko welcomed everyone and stated that the essence of the gathering was to licence the foreign trained pharmacists to practice in Nigeria.

The Registrar in his remark congratulated them having passed their orientation and examination program as required by law at the faculty of pharmaceutical sciences university of jos, plateau state. He also commended parents for their support in uplifting the standard of education. He enjoined the newly pharmacist to commence with their internship program as about 300 centres are available in the country, placing emphasis on being money driven but knowledge driven.
He also stated that  the importance of live long learning in a dynamic profession like pharmacy cannot be over emphasized ,to this end the PCN has designed a mandatory continuing professional development program MCPD to enable all registered pharmacists to keep themselves abreast with the latest development in pharmacy practice.
The HoD Education and training Dr S. A.  Idols presented the foreign trained pharmacists to the registrar to be inducted.
Speaking on behalf of the parents of the newly pharmacists Alhaji Hassan thanked the Registrar and staff of PCN, staff of the Faculty of pharmaceutical sciences uni  Jos. He challenged the newly pharmacists to be up and doing.
Responding on the behalf of the newly pharmacists Deputy class rep thanked God almighty and the council for their support, promised that they will be of good standing.
Among the newly inducted pharmacists Was The daughter of the president of PSN.
Distinguished personalities who graced the occasion were Director and head of department planning research and statistics,  Deputy Directors of account, admin, pharmacy practice, education and training,.
