About the Associate Pharmacist position.
The Associate Pharmacist is responsible for providing healthcare advice as well as for supplying prescription and non-prescription medicines to the public. The Associate Pharmacist will report to the Pharmacy Manager and is expected to work in line with the PCN’s code of ethics as well as Lifestores’ policies and guidelines. Success in this role will mean that Lifestores Pharmacy customers receive medicines appropriate to their clinical needs and become passionate advocates for our brand.
The specific responsibilities of the Associate Pharmacist include:
Processing prescriptions and dispensing medicines
Developing a comprehensive understanding of the qualities & benefits of all products sold at the store
Providing information on health issues and medications in line with clients’ enquiries
Meeting medical representatives on behalf of Lifestores
Participating in health awareness initiatives and other promotional activities Monitoring and evaluating client therapy
Preparing promotional materials for distribution to the public
Managing and training relevant staff
Monitoring inventory levels, ensuring proper inventory coverage and preventing stock outs and expiries
Ensuring that customer data is up-to-date in the IT system
Developing customer loyalty by building on-going personal relationships with clients
Attending and actively engaging in regular team communications (e.g. morning meetings, training sessions etc.)
Being a role model and inspirational carrier of Lifestores’ culture and beliefs
Qualifications & Characteristics
Ideal candidates for the Pharmacist role must:
Have completed a B. Pharm degree (including internship and National Youth Service)
Be highly driven and relentlessly obsessed with results
Be resourceful and good with people
Be an exceptional communicator (oral and written)
Have strong leadership skills and personal integrity
Have basic understanding of sales principles and customer service practices
Have a friendly and energetic personality with customer service focus
Have basic Microsoft Office skills
Have 1+ years of professional working experience, ideally in a selling role Benefits & Compensation
